Small Blessings

Today's post is all about small blessings. I am trying to recognize more when God provides for us in the seemingly small ways.

1) I won this swaddle blanket from Swaddle Designs in the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival. How cute are these blankets?! Plus I hear they are wonderful for getting newborns to sleep...I'm thinking this small blessing will turn out to be a big blessing after our little girl is born.

2) I won a feeding set from Baby Dippers, also in the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival. Looks like this will come in handy too, especially for one-handed feedings. Yea for multi-tasking!

3) If you remember from a past post, I purchased a large lot of maternity clothes on Craigslist for $45. Last weekend I went through the pile and picked out 7 different pieces that I knew I would not wear (pink and white striped maternity tube top...are you kidding?!!). Anyway, I listed them on Craigslist for $10 and had plans to meet a lady yesterday who wanted to buy them. When she showed up, she had a $20 and asked if I had change. I never carry cash, but I happened to somehow have $7.50 in my purse. I felt bad that I didn't have the whole $10 needed, but wasn't expecting that she'd need change. She was buying the items for her granddaughter and told me just to keep the rest. So I ended up getting $12.50 for the 7 pieces that I never would have worn anyway, making my original purchase an even greater deal! I've already worn the black warm-up suit enough to more than make it worth the $32.50 that I ultimately ended up spending on the remaining 15 pieces. Again, a small blessing, but unexpected and I was grateful!
