Dear, Salem

Dear God,

I know I am new to this 'life on earth' thing, but my mommy has taught me that I should pray to you in all kinds of situations. Normally I'm a happy little girl who just loves to play and talk and I pray to you about being thankful for my family who loves me. But today I am saying a different prayer. It's for my friend "Jonah the Giant" as we like to call him because he was so much bigger than me in the hospital. I know you know him. I mean, thousands of people have been talking to you about him for months now. But I wanted you to know that I'm praying for him today. My prayer is that he would eat. I know, it's a simple prayer, but it's really important for him. I love to eat...really, it's my favorite thing...and I can't imagine how sad it would be if eating was hard for me like it is for Jonah. So I'm praying today that Jonah eats. That it won't hurt him to eat, and that he'll get back to loving to eat all that big-people food that his mommy fixes for him too. And be with his mommy and daddy, who want him to eat so desperately because they know it's what he needs for his little (big) body to stay healthy. I know you are the greatest ever and you can do anything, so please please let Jonah eat. In Jesus' name, Amen.

And Addison wants to pray the same thing, too. She has heard all kinds of news about him from her mommy reading his blog. Dear God, Please let Jonah eat. Please heal him. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hey Salem,

Thanks so much for thinking of and praying for Jonah. Once we can get out of the house better, we have got to come hang out! But just know that, until then, you are welcome at our house any time. You're a cutie. I know you and Jonah will be great buds!
