Last night we went on a date together - our first since Salem was born. My parents were more than happy to babysit (any excuse to cuddle with the little one!) and we headed out for a night of fun. Chuck loves surprises, so I didn't tell him what I had in mind. We planned the evening on the spur of the moment since we haven't had much time to think about plans for much of anything lately, but it turned out great.
We started out with a steak dinner at Ruby Tuesdays...gotta love the Buy One Entree Get One Free coupon I found laying around at my office the other day! From there we went to Reynolda Gardens and spent some time walking around and talking about our past and future together. For dessert we grabbed milkshakes from Cook Out (yum!) and then it was on to the surprise. We headed downtown to check out the free concert series held every Saturday night during the summer. It was a great time of just hanging out together and people watching. Not much else I'd rather be doing than just spending time together. We feel so blessed to have a strong marriage and are looking forward to the years ahead!
